DISPENSING

We dispense both NHS and private prescriptions using a computer system that automatically monitors your medicines for interactions.

PRESCRIPTION COLLECTION & DELIVERY

If you are housebound or unable to collect your prescriptions we can deliver it right to your doorstep promptly and reliably completely FREE!

REPEAT DISPENSING & DELIVERY

We also offer a repeat dispensing service for both NHS and private prescriptions, together with our free collection and delivery service. Please call 020 8940 2304.

ELECTRONIC TRANSFER OF PRESCRIPTIONS (ETP)

Your doctor’s surgery and staff can now electronically transfer your NHS prescriptions to a pharmacy of your choice. Springfield Pharmacy is now an approved pharmacy for this service (called ‘ETP’ or ‘EPS’) and has the capability to receive electronic NHS prescriptions from all participating doctor practices/surgeries.

EMERGENCY SUPPLIES OF REPEAT PRESCRIPTION

If you suddenly realize you have run out of a medicine which has been previously prescribed by a doctor, and you are in need of an emergency supply (you are unable to get an appointment in time) we may be able to help.

COUNTER MEDICINES

Next to a wide range of non-prescription medicines to treat minor ailments and complaints, we stock an excellent range of natural remedies, vitamins and mineral supplements, and seasonal products to help keep you in the best of health all year round.

SAFE DISPOSAL OF UNWANTED MEDICINES

We help run a nationwide DUMP (Disposal of Unwanted Medicines) campaign so please return all unwanted medicines to us and we will dispose of them safely. Remember to keep medicines out of reach of children.

PREGNANCY AND BABYCARE

If you are thinking about starting a family, we stock easy-to-use diagnostic kits for ovulation and pregnancy testing. Our pharmacy also carries high-quality proprietary supplements for prenatal, during conception, and postnatal support.

HEALTH CARE LEAFLETS AND ADVICE

General health care advice — Your pharmacist can advise on all medicines and minor ailments, as well as on alternative and herbal remedies. Ask for our FREE health care education and information leaflets.

We stock or can get for you within 48 hours, an extensive range of products including bags, mattress covers and so on. Feel free to speak confidentially with the pharmacist about specific needs.

A designated area is available, offering more privacy for one-to-one discussions with the pharmacist.

BLOOD PRESSURE MONITORING

 HOLIDAY & TRAVEL HEALTH MEDICINES

Wherever your travel destination, lower the chances of leaving something essential behind from your holiday checklist! We carry a wide range of travel medicines for travel sickness, insect bites & stings, tummy upsets and diarrhoea, as well as sun protection preparations. We can provide you with up-to-date advice on malaria prophylaxis, information on vaccinations so that you may see your doctor about them, or if you like simply use our Travel Clinic. Our staff will be happy to help you choose all you need to enjoy your holiday.
